    The short version: The Remex desktop application runs entirely offline and collects no personal data whatsoever. This policy covers only the website getremex.com.

2. The Remex Application

The Remex desktop application (Remex Studio and the Python CLI) runs 100% locally on your machine. It does not:

Collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers
Send your documents, queries, or search results anywhere
Include any analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting
Require an account or registration

Your files and data never leave your machine. The only optional network activity is when you explicitly provide your own AI provider API key (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Ollama) to use the AI Answer feature — in which case your query is sent directly to your chosen provider under their own privacy policy.

3. Data Collected on This Website

3.1 Google Fonts

This website loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). When your browser requests a font file, Google may process your IP address and browser information. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.

3.2 Hosting

This website is hosted on Hostinger. Hostinger may collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) for security and operational purposes. See Hostinger's Privacy Policy for details.

3.3 Payments (Pro licence)

Pro licence purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Payment data (card details, billing address) is collected and processed exclusively by Lemon Squeezy and never shared with us. See Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy. We receive only a transaction confirmation and the email address you provide at checkout, solely to issue your licence key.

3.4 Cookies

This website does not set any cookies of its own. Third-party services (Google Fonts, Hostinger) may set cookies subject to their own policies.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

Where personal data is processed, the legal basis is legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — specifically the operational interest in serving the website and issuing licences. Licence transaction data is also processed on the basis of contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

5. Data Retention

Email addresses collected at licence checkout are retained for the duration of the licence validity to provide licence support. Server logs are retained according to Hostinger's standard retention policy.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

As a data subject under the GDPR, you have the right to:

Access — request a copy of personal data held about you
Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest
