Terms of Service

    By downloading or using Remex, you agree to these terms. The free tier is governed by the Apache 2.0 licence (CLI) and FSL-1.1-MIT licence (Studio). The Pro tier adds the commercial licence terms below.
  

1. Parties

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are entered into between Jérémy GERBEAUD ("we", "us", "Remex"), operating from France, and you ("User"), the individual or entity accessing or using the Remex software and website at getremex.com.

2. The Software

Remex consists of:

Remex CLI — a Python library and command-line tool, licensed under the Apache 2.0 licence
Remex Studio (v1.3.0 and later) — a native Windows desktop application, licensed under the Functional Source Licence 1.1 (FSL-1.1-MIT)

3. Remex Pro Licence

Remex Pro is a paid upgrade to Remex Studio. Upon purchasing a Pro licence, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual licence to use Remex Pro features on up to two (2) machines that you personally own or control.

The Pro licence:

Is a one-time payment — no recurring subscription
Is valid for the version purchased and all future updates within the same major version
May not be shared, resold, or transferred to another person
Is activated and validated offline via Lemon Squeezy's licence infrastructure

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of Remex Studio beyond what is permitted by the FSL-1.1-MIT licence
Use Remex to process data in violation of applicable laws
Circumvent or attempt to bypass the Pro licence activation system
Redistribute Remex Studio as part of a competing commercial product before the licence converts to MIT (as specified in FSL-1.1-MIT)

5. No Warranty

Remex is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose. You use Remex at your own risk.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty or liability that cannot be excluded under applicable French or EU consumer protection law.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Jérémy GERBEAUD shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Remex, including but not limited to loss of data or business interruption. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Remex Pro licence.

7. Payments & Refunds

All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, the Merchant of Record. Our refund policy is described in the Refund Policy.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent French courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the law of your country of residence.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Remex after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. For material changes, we will post a notice on getremex.com.
